The size and weight of cabin luggage

Before your arrival at Charles-de-Gaulle airport, you need to check the size of your cabin bag otherwise you will have to pay a cabin baggage weight supplement.

The weight and size of baggage allowed depends on the airlines. For example, Air France allows :

  • 1 or 2 pieces of luggage according to the cabin you are traveling in and 1 accessory ;
  • Cabin luggage can measure up to 55 x 35 x 25 cm maximum and weigh up to 12 or 18 kg ;
  • The accessory can be a handbag, a purse, a laptop bag, camera or other electronic device. The dimensions of the accessory allowed are 40 x 30 x 15 cm.


The size and weight of checked baggage

In the hold, the size of the luggage allowed depends on the company, your cabin and your ticket tariff. By default, Air France allows hold luggage up to 158 cm weighing 23 kg in Economy and Premium Economy cabins and 32 kg in Business and First class cabins.

If you wish to carry larger luggage, you need to acquire that option. This allows baggage not exceeding 300 cm and 32 kg to be placed in the hold.
